Mileage
A kilometre logbook for a car you use both for work and privately.
Keeping a trip log for the tax office is tedious, and that is the only reason it goes wrong. This app learns the routes you actually drive and, each time you open it, proposes the one you most likely just made. Confirming it is a single tap. Everything else — detours, one-off trips, a loaner from the garage, the days you forgot — is there when you need it and out of the way when you do not.
How it works
- Enter your car and its current odometer reading, then the handful of places you regularly drive between.
- Open the app after a trip. It shows where it thinks you went and what that puts on the clock. Tap once to confirm.
- Took a detour, drove somewhere new, or forgot yesterday? Adjust the distance, enter a one-off trip, or step the date back and catch up.
- At the end of the year, export the whole log — business and private kilometres split out — as a spreadsheet.
No tracking, by design
This app never asks for your location and has nowhere to put it if it did. It does not run in the background and it does not use GPS. Every kilometre in your log is there because you confirmed it — which is also what makes the log worth something when someone asks you to account for it.
Logging in goes through your j-tools account, so this site never asks for a separate password.
